Small Bake Shop Owners Expanding with New Breakfast Restaurant

A new breakfast and coffee restaurant is set to open on June 1 in the West Valley as Little Bake Shop expands its business. The establishment, located at 6801 W. Tieton Drive, across from Roots Nursery, will offer more room and menu options for customers to enjoy. Co-owner Adrienne Engelhart expressed her excitement about creating a space where people can sit and savor the treats offered by Little Bake Shop.

The new coffee shop is part of a collaboration with Brianne Plath, who owns a historic home located at 68th Avenue and Tieton Drive. She saw the potential for a coffee shop at the location, leading to the development of the new restaurant. Initially starting at Johnson Orchards on Summitview Avenue in Yakima in 2011, Engelhart and Jill Johnson sold baked goods made from fresh fruit grown by Johnson’s husband. In 2021, Jill stepped away from the business, prompting Andy Buck to become a co-owner. The new business venture will maintain its current menu of pies, cookies, and pastries at its original location while introducing a rotating breakfast menu that includes various sandwiches, quiches, scones, and Danishes. There are plans to expand into lunch options in the future as well.

Renovations are currently underway at the new location with a completed parking lot already available for customers’ convenience.
