Kentucky Chamber Publishes Results for Business which Provides Overview of 2024 Session Actions

The Kentucky Chamber has published a report titled “Results for Business,” which provides a comprehensive summary of the 2024 Kentucky General Assembly and its implications for businesses. The report includes detailed descriptions of bills, priority legislation that was passed, a legislative voting record, and more.

This year’s session was marked by several significant achievements. Through the advocacy efforts of the Chamber, Kentucky employers saved $1.006 billion, resulting in savings of $589 per employee in the state. Additionally, lawmakers made substantial investments in the Commonwealth’s future through the biennial budget, funding priorities such as child care, education, economic development, infrastructure, and more.

In addition to these budget investments, the Chamber successfully advocated for various priorities during this year’s session. These included the enactment of voluntary paid leave insurance, the removal of barriers to opening new child care centers, the establishment of a data privacy framework, the authorization of autonomous vehicles, and the expansion of the signature bourbon industry.
