On a bustling Thursday in Jonesboro, Ark., the prep sports lineup was marked by an exciting baseball showdown on I-55. Gosnell emerged victorious over Rivercrest to claim the 3A-3 regular season title. The K8 Sports HS Scoreboard on April 18, 2024 featured many thrilling games, including Gosnell’s hard-fought 9-8 win over Rivercrest in baseball.
In softball action, Greene County Tech defeated Marked Tree 16-7, while Nettleton beat Maynard 12-0. Walnut Ridge and Tuckerman also had successful outings. Additionally, BIC secured wins against Rector and Pocahontas, and Corning defeated Marmaduke in softball.
On the diamond, Brookland emerged victorious over Greene County Tech with a thrilling 10-0 win. Melbourne also defeated Cave City with a commanding 8-3 victory. Meanwhile, Marion secured a stunning 6-0 win over Wynne in softball action. Other notable results included Izard County’s impressive 16-1 victory against Yellville-Summit and Cotter’s 8-1 triumph over Calico Rock in softball.
