Shawna Witt, DRI STEM Education Coordinator, highlighted the interactive nature of the event, with engineering tools like snap circuits and a remote controlled model rover available for kids to play around with. Matt Malinowski, Atomic Museum Director of Education, emphasized the appeal of the event for Star Wars fans, encouraging attendees to come meet some characters, have fun, and possibly learn something new.
The ‘May the Science Be With You’ event is part of the Las Vegas Science & Technology Festival and will take place from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. at 755 E. Flamingo Road. In addition to the science demos and activities, there will be food trucks and community partner booths on-site. The Atomic Museum will also be offering half-priced admission to museum exhibits during the event.
