Ivy Tech Community College recently unveiled a new biopharmaceutical lab to provide hands-on learning experiences for students. Located in the Illinois Fall Creek Center at 2535 N. Capitol Ave, just north of downtown Indianapolis, the Biopharma Science & Technology Lab is a significant step in advancing education and training in biopharmaceutical manufacturing.
During the ribbon-cutting ceremony, Stacy Atkinson, Chancellor of Ivy Tech, expressed her pride and excitement for the new lab. She emphasized the lab’s role as a center for opportunity for Ivy Tech students, who will be future employees in the field of pharmaceutical manufacturing. Atkinson highlighted the college’s dedication to providing top-quality education and hands-on experience to help students succeed in this industry.
The new lab is part of a $15 million investment in Ivy Tech Community College by Eli Lilly and Co., scheduled to continue through 2028. This partnership between the pharmaceutical company and the college system demonstrates a commitment to advancing education and training in biopharmaceutical manufacturing. The state-of-the-art lab represents a significant step in providing students with the resources and support needed to excel in this dynamic field.
