Bulldogs dominate Mountaineers in softball sweep, scoring an impressive 30 runs

The Hancock Bulldogs softball team had a successful doubleheader against Norway at the Hancock Driving Park. In the first game, Sofie Freeman went 3-for-4 with three runs scored while Brooke Koskela hit a home run and drove in four runs. The Bulldogs won the nightcap with scores of 12-0 and 18-2.

In the second game, the Bulldogs had a strong offensive performance, scoring seven runs in the second inning and nine in the fourth. Diem Kilpela picked up the win in the pitcher’s circle, striking out seven, walking five, and allowing four hits. Freeman hit a home run, knocked in two runs, and scored three times to help drive the offense. Scholie went 3-for-4 with three RBI and three runs scored while Mallory Sporalski had two doubles and four RBI. Biekkola and Storm both went 2-for-3 and knocked in a run each.

The Bulldogs will have their next game on Tuesday when they host Calumet at the Hancock Driving Park.
