Google adds more layoffs after anti-Israel protest

In recent news, Google has completed an investigation into anti-Israel actions at its headquarters in New York, Seattle, and California. The company acknowledged that there were additional layoffs but did not specify the exact number. Protests were organized by No Tech for Apartheid who claimed that 50 workers were laid off. The employees who were let go demanded that Google end its contract with Israel for the Nimbus project which involved the construction of cloud farms. In fact, they even went as far as blocking the office of the director of Google’s cloud department for several hours.

Unfortunately, it seems like this important story was lost within a collection of random links and content on Google News. There were articles about stock markets, explainer video services, surveys, and sports news mixed in with this news piece. It is unclear why these unrelated topics were included in such a significant article about Google’s investigation and protests at their headquarters.
