18 people hospitalized and one person deceased after meal

On May 6 in Thai Binh province, a man passed away after consuming goat blood pudding at a wedding celebration hosted by a family in Hoang Dieu ward. 18 others experienced symptoms such as fever, digestive issues, and abdominal pain. The incident took place on May 6 when the family served a menu that included roasted chicken, braised shrimp, melon and eggplant soup, and goat blood pudding made from ingredients sourced from Ninh Binh.

The blood pudding was prepared using boiled pig ears, liver, and throat, with each tray having a large bowl for guests to consume. The following day, additional feasts were held with a variety of dishes including poultry, seafood, and other meats. However, one guest named Mr. Pham Trong Thuan developed symptoms including fever, cough, difficulty breathing
