Oklahoma Chef Shares Culinary Adventures in Latest Cookbook

Shannon Smith, a private chef based in Tulsa, has spent over 20 years honing her culinary skills. Her travels around the world have been a significant source of inspiration for her new cookbook that brings together recipes, stories and stunning photography.

Smith’s passion for food and culture led her to visit 53 countries and immerse herself in different food traditions. She wanted to learn about the unique preparation methods used in each country and meet the people who lived there. Through these experiences, she gathered an impressive collection of recipes that she has documented in her cookbook.

It took Smith six years to complete the book, which features pictures, recipes, and stories from her travels. Each chapter focuses on a different country where she has cooked, with only one chapter dedicated to the United States specifically New Mexico. The book showcases the diversity of global cuisine that Smith has experienced through 10-11 recipes in each of its 12 chapters.

Smith self-published the book exclusively available on her website chefshannon.com where it is up for purchase. She hopes to inspire others to explore the rich tapestry of flavors and traditions that exist around the world through this cookbook.

Smith’s love for cooking and cultural exploration shines through every page of this unique cookbook that brings together flavors from all corners of the globe.
