Abu Dhabi’s Non-Oil Foreign Trade Volume Declines in February

In February of this year, the Emirate of Abu Dhabi’s non-oil foreign trade volume was 22.2 billion dirhams, which represents a 10% decline compared to the same period last year. The total trade volume for January and February was 43.9 billion dirhams, down 10.2% from last year. According to data from the Statistics Center – Abu Dhabi, total exports in February were 11.6 billion dirhams, with exports totaling 6.8 billion dirhams and re-exports at 4.8 billion dirhams. Imports amounted to 10.5 billion dirhams, resulting in a trade balance in favor of Abu Dhabi at one billion dirhams.

The top non-oil exports in February included pearls, gemstones, and precious metals, followed by metals and metal products, plastics, rubber, food and beverage products, and chemical industry products.
