Cowboys Set to Ink Deal with Linebacker Damien Wilson

Damien Wilson has been added back to the Dallas Cowboys roster, according to Todd Archer of ESPN. The linebacker had not been in the league for most of the previous season but signed with the Cowboys’ practice squad on Jan. 3. He had served a four-game suspension for violating the Personal Conduct Policy.

Originally drafted by the Cowboys in the fourth round in 2015, Wilson spent his first four seasons in Dallas before playing for Kansas City, Jacksonville, and Carolina. After the Cowboys drafted Marist Liufau in the third round and needed depth at the linebacker position, they decided to sign Wilson. He is now one of four outside free agents that the Cowboys have added this offseason, joining Ezekiel Elliott, Eric Kendricks, and Royce Freeman.
