Congressman Steve Cohen (TN-9) announced that Memphis Health Center Inc., Porter-Leath, and the Shelby County Board of Education have been awarded grants totaling $21,309,797 from the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services. The Board of Education will receive $14,553,699 for its Head Start programs, while Porter-Leath will receive $1,385,603 to operate its programs. Memphis Health Center will receive $5,370,495 to support its initiatives.
