Charlotte Hornets Announces Charles Lee as New Head Coach

The Charlotte Hornets have announced the hiring of Charles Lee as their next head coach. Lee, who is currently the top assistant with the Boston Celtics, will become the 12th coach in franchise history.

Lee has a wealth of experience in the NBA, having previously worked with the Atlanta Hawks and Milwaukee Bucks. During his time with Boston, he helped the team achieve a 64-18 record, which was the best in the NBA and the fourth most wins in franchise history.

Before beginning his coaching career, Lee played college basketball at his alma mater, Bucknell University. He also had a successful career playing professionally overseas for four seasons. When asked about his new role with the Hornets, Lee expressed his excitement about joining the team and working with its talented young core of players. He believes that there is a strong passion for basketball in North Carolina and is eager to get started in Charlotte.

The decision to hire Lee comes after former head coach Steve Clifford stepped down earlier this month. The Hornets are excited to welcome him and his family to Charlotte and look forward to introducing him to fans during an upcoming news conference.
