Technology Center Celebrates Signing Day with Student Achievements – The Troy Messenger

The Troy Pike Center for Technology recently held a Careers Are Fun Day and Senior Career Signing Day for high school students from Charles Henderson High School, Goshen High School, and Pike County High School. The events were designed to provide students with a chance to explore different career options and celebrate their future endeavors.

During the Careers Are Fun Day, two sessions were offered, each tailored to students in grades 10-12. Jamie Rich, assistant principal at the technology center, explained that the goal of the event was to introduce students to a variety of career paths and encourage them to bond with their peers from other high schools. Students had the opportunity to learn about various industries and professions through interactive workshops and presentations.

Following the Careers Are Fun Day, the TPCT hosted Senior Career Signing Day for students who will be entering the military or starting employment or an apprenticeship at local businesses and industries. This event allowed students to celebrate their achievements and mark the next step in their career journeys. It was a day of excitement, pride, and camaraderie as students from different schools came together to support their peers in their chosen paths.

Overall, both events were successful in providing valuable information and opportunities for high school students in Pike County. Through these events, they were able to broaden their horizons and gain insight into various career paths that could lead them towards success.
