Larian Studio confirms two new projects in the works, but Baldur’s Gate 4 is off the table

Baldur’s Gate 3, which was released last summer, has been met with critical acclaim and numerous accolades in major video game awards. Larian Studio, the game’s developers, have announced that they will not be pursuing a sequel to the game. Instead, they are focusing on two new independent projects that they are excited to share with their fans.

One of these projects is Patch 7 for Baldur’s Gate 3, which will address bugs and improve upon the game’s evil endings. Additionally, the patch will introduce new modification tools to enhance the game’s customization options. While there may be future features like crossplay and a photo mode added in the future, Larian Studio has ruled out continuing the Baldur’s Gate story through a narrative expansion or sequel.

This means that there will not be a Baldur’s Gate 4 as the studio is shifting its focus towards new titles. The developers at Larian Studio express their excitement about their upcoming projects and look forward to sharing them with their fans.
