The Australian women’s cricket team is focused on winning their seventh title at the upcoming ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2024, set to take place in Bangladesh from October 3 to 20. As reigning champions, Australia will be placed in Group A alongside 2020 finalists India, Pakistan, New Zealand, and a qualifier team. Group B will consist of Bangladesh, England, South Africa, West Indies, and another qualifier team. The top two teams from each group will advance to the semi-finals.
The ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Qualifier in Abu Dhabi, UAE will determine the two qualifying teams for the tournament. The top two teams from this event concluding on May 7 will secure the spots. Australia will kick off their title defense against the qualifier in their group on October 4th. All of their group matches are scheduled to be played at the Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.
