In the eastern French commune of Marliens, archaeologists have made an astounding discovery. The site, which contains a horseshoe-shaped monument and a variety of weapons and ornaments from different historical periods, is unlike any other known sites with similar constructions.
The main feature of the site is a large bowtie-shaped structure with a circular construction in the middle, measuring 36 feet in diameter. This central circlet is connected to a horseshoe-shaped structure on one side and a jug-handle-shaped feature on the other side.
