Dignity Health and Aetna come to a new contract agreement

Dignity Health and Aetna have reached a new multi-year contract that guarantees Aetna members in-network access to Dignity’s services, facilities, and providers in California, Arizona, and Nevada. The agreement was reached after negotiations between the two healthcare providers failed earlier this year, leading to the temporary removal of Dignity Health facilities and providers from Aetna’s network.

The new contract went into effect on April 1st and ensures that any members who have received services from Dignity since that date will be covered. Both parties expressed their commitment to providing quality care to their members, with Dignity Health’s president stating that the agreement is a win for patients who deserve access to high-quality care.

Aetna’s vice president and chief network officer for the Western and South Central region emphasized their dedication to meeting the healthcare needs of their members through their network of providers. They expressed gratitude to Dignity Health for their cooperation in reaching this agreement.

Members who have any questions about their coverage are advised to reach out to the number listed on their insurance card for assistance.
