Ziyad Al-Aly, MD, is a clinical epidemiologist at Washington University School of Medicine in St. Louis who has been recognized as one of the top 100 influencers in global health on the inaugural Time100 Health list. He is known for his expertise in analyzing big data to uncover important health insights and has gained widespread attention for leading over twenty studies on the long-term health effects of COVID-19, known as long COVID.

Al-Aly serves as the director of the Clinical Epidemiology Center at the VA St. Louis Health Care System and heads the research and development service.
