Zion Williamson Leaves Pelicans’ NBA Play-in Tournament Game with Leg Soreness

During the Pelicans’ NBA play-in tournament defeat, Zion Williamson experienced left leg soreness, prompting him to exit the game against the Lakers in the final minutes. Despite his 40-point performance, Williamson had to request to leave the court after a lay-up against Anthony Davis, causing him to limp.

Williamson will undergo imaging two days before the Pelicans’ next play-in game. The loss means that they will play in the final West play-in game against either the Warriors or Kings, with a matchup against Thunder awaiting them if they win. Meanwhile, the Lakers secured No. 7 seed and will face Nuggets in their next game.
