SaveRx Card launched by WellSpan helps make prescription drugs more affordable

WellSpan Health has launched a new initiative to address the issue of healthcare affordability with the introduction of the WellSpan SaveRx Card. This free prescription discount card can be used at over 60,000 pharmacies across the country, including those within the WellSpan network.

As P. Geoff Nicholson, senior vice president and chief clinical officer of WellSpan Population Health, stated: “We are excited to introduce the WellSpan SaveRx Card as part of our ongoing commitment to providing affordable and accessible healthcare to our communities. Prescription drug costs can be a significant financial burden for many individuals, and we want to help alleviate that burden with this program.”

The WellSpan SaveRx Card offers discounts on most prescriptions, with savings varying depending on the medication and pharmacy. Patients can simply present the card to their pharmacist when filling a prescription without any membership fees or activation requirements. Information on pricing and available pharmacies can be found on WellSpanSaveRx.com.

It is important to note that the SaveRx Card is a savings program and not a form of health insurance. It cannot be used in conjunction with insurance plans or any federally funded programs like Medicare or Medicaid.
