Techfest Vietnam 2024 Set to Begin

The 10th National Innovation Startup Festival, Techfest Vietnam 2024, is set to launch in April with the goal of integrating Vietnam’s creative startup ecosystem into global markets. Dr. Pham Hong Quat, Director of the Department of Science and Technology Market Development at the Ministry of Science and Technology, made this announcement on April 19.

Techfest Vietnam 2024 will take place in Hai Phong and feature a range of events including policy forums, talent contests, investment sessions, product exhibitions, conferences, an international forum, technology exhibitions, a high-level policy forum, and a talk show. Nearly 150 activities are planned with participation from around 30 technology villages.

The festival’s theme is “10-year journey – Global integration” and will highlight the innovations and business models of the creative startup ecosystem over the past decade. Each year’s theme addresses key issues in the startup ecosystem aiming to find solutions and foster growth. This year’s focus is on bringing Vietnam’s startup ecosystem into regional and international integration laying the groundwork for a network of creative startup nations.

Vietnam’s startup ecosystem has experienced significant growth over the past decade with several startups reaching valuations in the hundreds of millions and billions of dollars. The establishment of national innovation startup support centers in Hanoi, Da Nang, and Ho Chi Minh City has further boosted this growth.

Techfest Vietnam plays a crucial role in nurturing new businesses based on intellectual property and global market access. Through this festival, Vietnam’s creative startup ecosystem continues to flourish and expand creating a vibrant and innovative landscape for startups in the country.
