UVA Health, a renowned healthcare provider based in Charlottesville, Virginia, has announced its plans to acquire Piedmont Family Practice in Warrenton, Virginia. The two parties have finalized a purchase sale agreement and anticipate that the transaction will be completed by the summer, as per a UVA Health news release issued on May 7.
Piedmont Family Practice is an esteemed medical facility that offers a range of services to its patients. It boasts a team of 90 employees, including seven physicians, 17 advanced practice providers, a registered dietitian, and a certified diabetic educator. Upon the completion of the acquisition, all current employees at the practice will remain employed under UVA Health ownership.
The practice offers three core clinical services: Piedmont Family Practice provides general health services and specialized care for conditions such as diabetes and women’s health; Piedmont Urgent Care offers COVID-19 testing and other urgent-care services; and The Bariatric and Metabolic Weight Loss Center focuses on weight management programs and mental health services.
