Investigation underway into death of Israeli Alma Buadana in Brazil

A recent report from the media has brought to light the unfortunate demise of Alma Buadana, an Israeli woman who lost her life in Rio de Janeiro on May 7. Alma had been residing in Brazil for over three months prior to her untimely death. According to Alma’s companion, they were walking when a motorcyclist or someone in a red car approached them, leading them to believe they were being robbed. In an attempt to flee, Alma fell from a 15-meter height near the rise to Corcovado.

However, inconsistencies in the companion’s testimonies have led authorities to suspect his involvement in Alma’s death. Homicide detectives are currently investigating all leads as Alma’s companion claims that they had only recently met in a hostel in Copacabana. The tragic accident occurred on Almirante Alexandrino Boulevard, near Mount Corcovado, where Alma fell from a great height at approximately 7:00 PM on May 7.

Alma had flown to Brazil over three months ago and spent the initial 90 days in Salvador before arriving in Rio de Janeiro just ten days before her passing. The Israeli Foreign Ministry has expressed their condolences and is assisting with the transportation of Alma’s body back to Israel for burial. The investigation into Alma’s death continues as authorities work to piece together the events leading up to her tragic accident.
