Jak Jones dominates semi-final against Stuart Bingham at World Championship

Judd Trump’s surprise early exit from the World Championship has opened up a path for 44th-ranked Jak Jones to reach the final. In the third session of his semi-final match against Stuart Bingham, Jones took control by opening up a 13-10 lead. Bingham, the 2015 champion, struggled to find his rhythm and made several errors, allowing Jones to capitalize with five consecutive frames, including three half-century breaks. Despite Bingham’s superb 104 break in the final frame, only seven of the eight scheduled frames were completed due to the protracted nature of some frames.

In another quarter-finals match, Kyren Wilson holds a lead over David Gilbert, with the match set to conclude later in the day. Jones’ victory over Trump has put him in an excellent position to become the lowest-ranked finalist since Shaun Murphy in 2005. With his impressive play thus far, Jones is confident that he can take on any opponent and reach the final.
