HIGHLIGHTS OF SCIENCE CELEBRATION DINNER INCLUDE SCHOLARSHIP OPPORTUNITIES – KQEN News Radio

On May 14th at 6:00 p.m., a Science Celebration Night will be held at the Health, Nursing and Science Center at Umpqua Community College. The event is free and will include dinner, providing attendees with information about a new scholarship program supporting industrial science careers.

The “Oregon Pathways to Industrial Research Careers” program is a collaboration between UCC and the University of Oregon, backed by the National Science Foundation. The celebration will highlight the experiences of new scholars and current participants who are transitioning to the university level. Students from different stages of the pathway will also share their experiences.
