TIGS, one of Japan’s largest international trade shows, is expected to attract over 200,000 buyers, importers and distributors. Maui Food Technology Center is actively seeking Maui County businesses to participate in this esteemed event, which will take place on Sept. 4-6, 2024 at Tokyo Big Sight, Tokyo International Exhibition Center. This provides local businesses with an excellent opportunity to expand their reach into the international market.

Nina Tanabe emphasizes the value of participating in TIGS for Maui businesses. She notes that it allows them to connect with a global audience and expand their reach beyond local markets. The Hawai’i Pavilion at TIGS, sponsored by the Hawai‘i State Department of Business, Economic Development and Tourism (DBEDT), will offer Maui County companies a space to showcase their unique products among other distinguished Hawaiian businesses. Products showcased at TIGS range from home decorations and crafts to clothing and textiles, party decorations and handbags, jewelry and food.

Maui County businesses can participate in TIGS at affordable costs thanks to support from the County of Maui Office of Economic Development. Those interested in taking part can register online at www.mauifoodtechnology.org/tigs. Participating in TIGS offers a valuable platform for businesses to showcase their products, test new offerings, build relationships with decision-makers and explore growth opportunities. With projected attendance of over 200,000 buyers, it’s an excellent opportunity for local businesses to gain exposure in the international market and take their business to the next level.
