10th Forum of the World Water

The World Water Forum, a renowned event that gathers stakeholders from across the globe every three years, is set to return to Bali from May 18th to 24th, 2024. Organized by the World Water Council and the Republic of Indonesia, this 10th edition is expected to draw over 30,000 participants from 172 countries. The Forum will tackle critical water-related issues and provide a platform for discussions and collaborations aimed at promoting sustainable water management practices globally.

Several events will be hosted by UNEP at the World Water Forum, focusing on topics such as sustainable lake management, water quality at a basin scale, smart water management capabilities, and advancing prosperity across the entire water cycle. These events aim to foster discussions and collaborations among experts and practitioners in the field, with the goal of addressing global water challenges and promoting sustainable water management practices.

The sessions at the Forum will cover a wide range of topics, including the importance of linking water for humans and nature, global processes and initiatives for a water-secure world, and transformative changes needed for a Water-Smart Society. Participants will have an opportunity to engage with leading experts in their respective fields and exchange knowledge and best practices that can help advance global efforts in water management.
