The Pinelands Science Forum will be hosted by the Pinelands Preservation Alliance on June 13 to focus on the importance of forests in relation to climate change. Speakers from regulatory agencies, academia, and nonprofits will discuss the crucial role of forests and the nuances of forestry practices in addressing climate change.

The forum aims to provide valuable insights into the impact of forests on climate change. Scientists and advocates will share their research on the benefits of tree planting, tools for identifying locations, and the pros and cons of different forestry practices. Early bird registration for the event is open until May 15, with a cost of $35 per person. After May 15, the registration fee is $45. Registration will remain open until June 3.

The forum will be held at PPA’s renovated barn in Southampton, featuring a light breakfast and lunch, as well as a tour of PPA’s Rancocas Creek Farm.
