Senator Ossoff’s Efforts to Improve Dialysis Health Care in South Georgia

U.S. Senator Jon Ossoff has recently secured Federal funding for Tift Regional Health System to upgrade their health care services, specifically for traditional and peritoneal dialysis. This funding will greatly benefit patients in South Georgia who require dialysis treatments, as Tift Regional Health System serves 12 counties in the region.

The $600,000 in funding was obtained through a bipartisan government funding package, with Senator Ossoff bringing together both Republicans and Democrats to support the project. He expressed his gratitude towards Christopher Dorman, the President and Chief Executive Officer of Tift Regional Health System, for bringing this proposal to his office and for his leadership in the community.

Claire Byrnes, Senior Vice President for Ambulatory Services at Tift Regional Health System, also expressed her appreciation for Senator Ossoff’s support in securing Federal funding for this project. The new equipment will allow Tift Regional Health System to expand and upgrade their health care services for families in South Central Georgia, helping them provide effective care using state-of-the-art clinical care machinery. With the rise in Outpatient Dialysis volume, this expansion will enable Tift Regional Health System to more than double their capacity and provide even better care to their patients.
