Transavia revs up in Montpellier: “Back in the game”

Transavia, a subsidiary of Air France-KLM, has recently expanded its operations in Montpellier, strengthening its presence in Hérault with three new destinations: Istanbul, Rabat, and Oran. With a total of 14 destinations served in nine countries, Montpellier has become the group’s platform for the Mediterranean market. The airline is anticipating strong demand for its new routes, especially the Istanbul route which will be operated twice a week.

As part of its response to the pandemic downturn, Transavia is focusing on increasing its capacity and aiming for an 80% occupancy rate this summer. In 2023, the airline transported 284,000 passengers from Montpellier with a 71% occupancy rate, and they are targeting 340,000 tickets in 2024. The airline is also looking into expanding its services for the upcoming winter season.

In addition to expanding its services and routes in Montpellier, Transavia is collaborating with Montpellier airport to boost the Montpellier-Paris-Orly line. This collaboration aims to offer competitive prices compared to the TGV train service and attract more passengers to air travel options. The commissioning of line 14 of the Paris metro from Orly is expected to further improve accessibility to the center of the capital and make air travel even more attractive for passengers. With these new services and partnerships, Transavia is poised to grow its operations in Montpellier and provide more options for travelers in the region.

Overall, Transavia’s expansion in Montpellier shows that it is committed to providing passengers with more choices when it comes to travel options in Hérault. Its focus on increasing capacity and offering competitive pricing highlights their determination to adapt to changing market conditions and provide value-added services that meet customer needs.

With three new destinations added this year alone – Istanbul being one of them – Transavia has demonstrated a strong commitment towards expanding its network while maintaining high standards of service quality. As it continues to grow in Montpellier and beyond, we can expect more exciting developments from this dynamic subsidiary of Air France-KLM.

It’s worth noting that despite facing challenges posed by the pandemic onset last year, Transavia has shown resilience by continuing its expansion plans while prioritizing health and safety measures for both employees and customers alike. This approach reflects well on their brand reputation as they continue serving their loyal customers across different regions.

In conclusion, Transavia’s expansion plan marks a significant milestone not just for itself but also for Hérault as a whole. As we look forward towards future growth prospects within this promising aviation industry segment., we can only hope that other companies follow suit like how Transavia did during these challenging times without compromising on delivering exceptional experiences
