The Mike Tyson vs Jake Paul Fight Officially Sanctioned by Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations

The July 20 boxing match between Mike Tyson and Jake Paul, scheduled to take place at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, has been officially sanctioned by the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations. This was confirmed by Most Valuable Promotions. The heavyweight bout will consist of eight rounds of two minutes each, with the fighters wearing 14-ounce gloves instead of the usual 8 or 10 ounces seen in professional matches.

In addition to the Tyson-Paul fight, there will be a co-feature between unified featherweight champion Amanda Serrano and super lightweight champion Katie Taylor. This rematch marks the first women’s main event at Madison Square Garden. Both fights will stream live on Netflix.

Most Valuable Promotions co-founder Nakisa Bidarian expressed her gratitude for meeting the requirements of the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulations to sanction the Tyson-Paul fight. Mike Tyson, now 57 years old, was once known as “The Baddest Man on Earth” after winning six world heavyweight titles throughout his career. He also held all three major belts (WBC, WBA, and IBF) simultaneously during his prime years. On the other hand, Jake Paul gained fame on YouTube before transitioning to professional boxing in 2020. He made it to Forbes’s list of highest-paid athletes for his boxing matches with an estimated earnings of $38 million. He has a large following on social media platforms like Instagram and X (formerly Twitter).
