Kennedys Back Biden in Presidential Race Despite Family Member’s Candidacy

The Kennedy family, a political dynasty known for its influence in American politics, expressed its support for Joe Biden in the US presidential elections on Thursday. This clear signal sent by fifteen members of the Kennedy family was notable given that Robert F. Kennedy Jr., a family member and also running for president this year, has been critical of Biden’s stance on certain issues.

During an event in Philadelphia, where Biden spoke about his own political life and the legacy of the Kennedy family, he mentioned his father, former U.S. Senator and Attorney General Robert F. Kennedy, and Martin Luther King Jr. as his only political heroes growing up. Biden highlighted the importance of looking to their examples in difficult situations and spoke about having busts of Kennedy and King in the Oval Office.

While Robert F. Kennedy Jr.’s candidacy is still a possibility, it was clear that he would not receive the support of his family during this election cycle. The Kennedys’ endorsement of Biden underlines their commitment to his campaign amidst criticism from other family members like Robert F. Kennedy Jr., who has faced criticism for his anti-vaccine stance and far-right contacts.

On stage with Biden were other members of the Kennedy family, indicating their alignment with him in this upcoming election race that includes him and Republican former President Donald Trump as candidates. Despite any internal conflicts within the Democratic Party or among family members, it seems that the majority of the Kennedy family is behind Joe Biden in his bid for presidency this year.
