The revived AFL loses Iowa Rampage

The Arena Football League (AFL) is facing potential troubles following the discontinuation of operations by the Iowa Rampage. In a press release on Thursday, the team owners, Trevor Burdett and Mike Taliaferro, blamed AFL Commissioner Lee Hutton and the league as a whole for not fulfilling promises made to them.

The owners cited issues such as delayed delivery of football equipment, jerseys, and camp gear, as well as the NFL Network backing out of televising games as reasons for the decision. They expressed disappointment in the failure of the league to support the revival of the AFL and its impact on players across the United States.

Following the announcement from the Rampage owners, the AFL removed the team from their online roster of teams, leaving them with only 15 franchises. The future of the Arena Football League remains uncertain, as these challenges highlight potential obstacles facing their revival efforts.
