Despite the growing awareness of the environmental toll of coffee production, the average American still consumes over 3 cups per day according to the National Coffee Association. Worldwide, people drink two billion cups of coffee daily, leading to a range of environmental problems such as deforestation and low wages for coffee farmers. The effects of climate change also pose risks to traditional coffee production in regions like Vietnam.

In order to overcome these challenges, companies must find innovative solutions that meet consumer demand while minimizing their impact on the environment.
