Lillard and Antetokounmpo ruled out for Bucks in Game 4 against Pacers on Sunday

In the upcoming NBA Playoffs series, the Milwaukee Bucks will face off against the Indiana Pacers. However, the Bucks are facing a significant challenge due to injuries to their star players. Giannis Antetokounmpo is already out of the series with a calf strain, and now Damian Lillard has also been ruled out of Game 4 with an Achilles strain. This puts extra pressure on other players like Khris Middleton, Bobby Portis, and Patrick Beverley to step up and keep the Bucks in the series.

Despite Khris Middleton’s impressive 42-point performance in their last game, the absence of Antetokounmpo and Lillard poses a significant challenge for the team. The Pacers currently lead the series 2-1, and without their two best players, the Bucks will need a collective effort from everyone on the team to avoid falling into a 1-3 hole.

The injury to Damian Lillard is particularly impactful as he has been a key player for Milwaukee throughout the series. He has averaged 32.3 points and 5.3 assists per game in this matchup so far. His injury occurred on the final play of regulation in Game 3, and despite his best efforts, he was unable to contribute effectively in overtime due to his Achilles injury.

This unfortunate turn of events has forced Milwaukee to reevaluate their roster and future plans moving forward. While injuries are part of any sport, it’s essential that they address deeper questions about their team construction and strategy moving forward.

The remaining games of this series will be crucial for Milwaukee as they fight to stay competitive against a strong Pacers team without their two top stars. It’ll be interesting to see how they adapt and overcome these challenges as they try to keep pace with one of Eastern Conference’s top teams.
