U.S. basketball team in final stages of selecting roster for 2024 Paris Olympics

The 2024 Paris Olympics men’s basketball team for Team USA is being finalized, and it features some of the greatest players in the game. LeBron James, Stephen Curry, Kevin Durant, and Joel Embiid are all on the roster. Grant Hill, the managing director of the team, has left one spot open for a player to be added after a July training camp in Las Vegas.

The 11-man roster includes Anthony Davis, Devin Booker, Anthony Edwards, Jayson Tatum, Jrue Holiday, Bam Adebayo, and Tyrese Haliburton. Steve Kerr, who coached Curry and Durant during their successful NBA careers with the Golden State Warriors, will be coaching them during the Olympics as well.

Durant has won three men’s basketball Olympic gold medals, tying him with Carmelo Anthony for the most gold medals in men’s basketball history at the Olympics. LeBron James has also won three gold medals at previous Olympics and has a total of four Olympic medals overall.

Haliburton and Edwards are the only players from the 2023 FIBA World Cup team that have been selected for the Olympics. This mix of experience and upcoming talent showcases how strong Team USA is going to be during the Paris Games in 2024.
