Twitter to Stop Hiding Responses from Blocked Accounts

In recent news, social media platform X has made a significant change to its account blocking policy. Users will now be able to view responses from accounts they have previously blocked on the platform. Previously, when a user blocked another account, the blocked account could continue to respond to the user’s posts, but the user who initiated the block could not see these responses. However, X has now made changes so that users can see responses from accounts they have blocked.

The aim of this change is to give users more control over their experience while maintaining public visibility of posts. The company wants to empower users by allowing them to identify and report any incorrect content that they could not previously see. This new policy reflects X’s commitment to offering users greater autonomy and control over their online interactions.

Elon Musk, owner of X, initially opposed the blocking feature and announced plans to remove it entirely except for direct messages. Despite being a requirement of application stores like Google Play and Apple Store, Musk argued that the feature did not make sense. However, after hearing feedback from users, he has now reversed his decision and implemented this new account blocking policy change.

Overall, X’s new account blocking policy change empowers users by giving them greater control over their interactions with other accounts on the platform. By allowing users to see responses from previously blocked accounts, they can identify and report any incorrect content that may harm others or violate community guidelines.
