Six organizations in North Dakota receive grants from Health and Human Services for suicide prevention efforts

Six organizations have been announced as recipients of North Dakota Health and Human Services’ suicide prevention funding initiative. These groups, which include Minot State University’s Center for Persons with Disabilities and Peer Vision for Mental Health, were chosen based on their ability to provide support to individuals struggling with mental health issues.

Melissa Markegard, the suicide prevention administrator for HHS, emphasized the importance of early intervention in preventing suicide. She stated that everyone shares the common goal of reducing and ultimately eliminating suicide in North Dakota.
