Shoe Tree Brewing Wins Silver Medal at World Beer Cup

In 2024, Shoe Tree Brewing was awarded a silver medal in the prestigious World Beer Cup competition. The ceremony took place on April 24 at The Venetian in Las Vegas, where awards were handed out in a staggering 110 different beer-style categories.

Shoe Tree Brewing Co., a 7-bbl brewpub located in Carson City, was recognized for its Lahontan Brown, a dark brown beer with complex notes of caramel, chocolate, and balanced hops. This achievement is a testament to the brewery’s commitment to both classic and innovative beers.

The World Beer Cup is often referred to as “The Olympics of Beer,” acknowledging the global reach and significance of this esteemed competition. This year’s winners were selected by an international panel of 280 beer judges from 37 countries, who evaluated a total of 9,300 entries from 2,060 breweries and 50 countries.
