Rolling Stones at Jazz Fest Draws Record Crowd, Stimulates Local Economy

After a record-breaking Jazz Fest, dozens of workers are currently dismantling the festival grounds in New Orleans. The event attracted headliners like the Rolling Stones and experienced minimal rain, resulting in 97% of the city’s hotel rooms being occupied and more than half a million attendees.

Renowned Jazz Fest poster artist, Terrance Osborne, had a great time selling his signature art at this year’s festival. He loved the pleasant weather with clouds providing relief from the heat. Despite some outbound flight challenges, many visitors chose to stay in New Orleans longer.

The economic impact of the festival was estimated to be around $400 million, with tourists shopping in the French Quarter and supporting local businesses. Osborne admitted that he would love to attend next year without having to work at his art booth but plans to participate again anyway, along with loyal customers who promise to return even if the Rolling Stones aren’t part of the lineup.
