Vandal Science Days Event taking place this weekend

The College of Science at the University of Idaho is hosting a two-day science event, Vandal Science Days, starting today. This event is open to the public of all ages and provides hands-on experimenting opportunities.

Vandal Science Days offers participants the chance to listen to presentations from professors on topics such as arsenic in beauty products, science programs available at U of I, and how science and music can complement each other during the Lionel Hampton Jazz Festival. Additionally, attendees can engage in hands-on science activities like fossil digs, comet making, virtual realities for sustainable futures, among others.

Prospective U of I science students have the opportunity to win a $500 college of science scholarship at Vandal Science Days. Cindy Barnhart from the College of Science’s Communication and Marketing department mentioned that this event aims to showcase how science can be fun and accessible to everyone.
