Ukraine Downs Russian Strategic Bomber in War’s First Incident of its Kind

A Tu-22 bomber crashed due to a technical fault and was not carrying any ammunition, the Russian Ministry of Defense confirmed. The governor of the Stavropol region, Vladimir Vladimirov, stated that all but one crew member managed to eject from the plane, with one killed and two taken to the hospital. A search is ongoing for the fourth crew member.

In recent news, at least nine people were killed in missile strikes in the Dnepropetrovsk region during a Russian attack. Some of the strikes hit near the Dnipro railway station, injuring workers. During the attack, 22 missiles and 14 unmanned aerial vehicles were launched by Russia, most of which were shot down by the Ukrainian Air Force.
