Report: Tyron Billy-Johnson may join Cowboys following visit

Tyron Billy-Johnson, a 28-year-old free agent wide receiver, is reportedly visiting the Dallas Cowboys and may sign with the team pending a physical examination, according to a report from Michael Gehlken of the Dallas Morning News. Throughout his career, he has moved around between several NFL teams including the Texans, Bills, Panthers, Chargers, Jaguars, Raiders, Bengals, 49ers and Cowboys since 2019.

Billy-Johnson has played in 26 games with one start during his time on the field for Houston Texans in 2022. He has recorded 23 receptions for 422 yards and three touchdowns which resulted in an impressive average of 18.3 yards per catch. Furthermore, he has also contributed to special teams by returning 14 punts with an average of 19.1 yards per return.

If Billy-Johnson ends up signing with the Cowboys for the upcoming season, he could bring a versatile set of abilities to the team’s roster including his skills as a receiver and contributions to special teams.
