Tadweer and Livedian Join Forces to Reduce Waste Carbon Emissions

Tadweer Group and British climate company Levidian have partnered to work on international projects focused on removing carbon from waste. The pilot project is currently being developed in Abu Dhabi, with plans for it to be operational by the end of 2024.

Oliver Christian, the British government’s trade commissioner in the Middle East, highlighted the importance of this partnership in addressing one of the greatest climate challenges of our time. Through collaboration, Tadweer’s commitment to the circular economy and Levidian’s innovative climate technology will create opportunities to convert waste into energy and extract value from waste not only in the Emirates but globally.

The partnership aims to accelerate the removal of carbon from landfill sites worldwide using Levidian’s “LOOP” technology to produce clean hydrogen and carbon-negative graphene. These materials can be used as high-quality additives to enhance the performance of various materials such as concrete, batteries, and plastics.

Ali Al Dhaheri, Managing Director and CEO of Tadweer, expressed pride in investing in Levidian and working to bring this technology to the UAE. He highlighted the importance of collaboration with like-minded companies to introduce advanced technologies and pioneer solutions that revolutionize waste treatment for future generations.
