TN Science Forum’s Lecture Explores the Evolution of the Universe | Chennai News

The Tamil Nadu Science Forum recently hosted a captivating lecture on the evolution of the universe, based on the standard model theory. Prafulla Kumar Behera, a physics professor from IIT-M, was the guest speaker at the event held at Anna Centenary Library in Kotturpuram. During his presentation, he discussed Peter W Higgs’ theoretical discovery and its impact on shaping the future of high energy physics and technological advancements in building accelerators like large hadron colliders and detectors like ATLAS that can identify particle properties. This lecture is just one of many weekly science lectures organized by the forum, both online and offline.

In addition to this fascinating lecture, the science forum has also been publishing articles on various topics recently. One such article discusses what aspiring lecturers can expect after the KSET 2024 results are announced. Another article covers the KSET results declared by KEA, including information on qualifying marks, eligibility certificates for Assistant Professor positions, and more. There is also an exciting article about Vellore Institute of Technology’s MSc in Data Science program which bridges skill gaps, offers diverse career opportunities, and provides online upskilling with expert faculty.

Despite the scorching heatwave in April, special events at Kolkata’s Science City and BITM drew record footfall. BITM’s successful programs and student interest contributed to the increased visitors while Science City’s air-conditioned galleries and Voyager movie viewing experience were popular among crowds. This shows that people’s interest in science and education remains unwavering despite challenging weather conditions.
