Richmond Hill YMCA Incorporates Cutting-Edge EGYM Technology

In a recent development, the Richmond Hill YMCA in Georgia has unveiled EGYM technology, which offers state-of-the-art resources to gym-goers. The technology was introduced during a ribbon-cutting ceremony attended by Stefani Mosquera, the executive branch director of the YMCA in Richmond Hill. Mosquera described the introduction of EGYM as “revolutionary” and emphasized how it aligns with the YMCA’s mission to promote health and well-being for all members of the community.

EGYM technology includes flat screens on gym equipment that provide users with information on muscle building and appropriate weight levels for their workouts. Clients can also access a strength test to determine the most suitable weight-training program for their needs. Christopher Sweat, the marketing and communications director for YMCA of Coastal Georgia, explained that EGYM collects data on users’ range of motion, strength, and agility to personalize their workouts and target areas that need improvement.

Developed in Germany, EGYM has been well-received in the United States, with six different YMCA locations already incorporating it into their fitness programs. Mary Arocha, senior vice president of the YMCA of Coastal Georgia, shared that over 9,000 people have already benefited from EGYM technology at these locations. Arocha highlighted how EGYM represents the future of fitness, combining cutting-edge technology with the YMCA’s values of inclusivity and community.

The positive impact of EGYM technology has been acknowledged across different YMCA branches. This innovative system is now available at the Richmond Hill YMCA location as well.
