FJH Technology Boosts Metal Recovery in MTM Operations

Mt Monger Resources Ltd. (AU:MTM) has released an update on its critical metals subsidiary, MTM Critical Metals Ltd. The company shared that their Flash Joule Heating (FJH) prototype has shown significant improvement in the recovery of rare earth elements and critical metals from coal fly ash. The increases in recovery rates range from 50% to 514% compared to traditional acid leach methods. This advancement, which has been scaled up 50 times from the initial proof of concept, also aims to reduce acid use and waste in the leaching process.

The FJH prototype uses a combination of heat and electricity to extract valuable metals from waste materials. It is a sustainable technology that reduces the need for toxic chemicals and minimizes environmental harm. The company is looking to expand testing to other metal-rich waste sources to improve the economic viability of this technology.

The success of the FJH prototype demonstrates MTM Critical Metals’ commitment to innovation and sustainability. The company is well positioned to benefit from the growing demand for critical metals, which are essential for modern technologies such as electric vehicles, wind turbines, and smartphones. With its cutting-edge technology and strong financial performance, MTM Critical Metals is a promising investment opportunity for those interested in sustainable mining and metals processing.
