Small businesses impacted by 2020 hurricanes can now apply for financial assistance

Cullen Curole, from the South Central Planning and Development Commission, has emphasized the need to provide financial support to businesses affected by hurricanes Laura and Delta. Despite four years having passed since the storms hit, many businesses are still struggling to recover. The availability of federal funds presents an opportunity to help these businesses get back on their feet and rebuild.

To assist local businesses in their recovery efforts, the Monroe Chamber of Commerce has launched a new program called the Restore Small Business Loan Program. This program offers loans with zero percent interest and up to 40 percent of the loan amount can be forgiven, providing crucial financial support to businesses in need.

Business owners interested in applying for this program can find more information on the South Central Planning and Development Commission’s website. This new resource aims to provide a lifeline to businesses that have struggled in the aftermath of the hurricanes, offering a helping hand during their recovery process.
