Advancement of Pickleball at Port of Pensacola Moves Forward with Warehouse 4 Sports

The Warehouse 4 Sports pickleball courts project in Pensacola is moving forward with an updated lease agreement that includes eight tournament-size outdoor courts, a waterfront concessions area, and public access to the project. The original lease was signed last year for the conversion of a 45,000-square-foot building at the port into an indoor sports and convention space. The new lease terms require an investment of $4 million over 15 years, the construction of parking spots, and an increase in rent from $26,000 to $36,000 plus property taxes.

The City Council has unanimously approved the lease amendment for the Warehouse 4 Sports pickleball courts project. Construction of the outdoor courts is expected to take three to four months once it begins. The updated lease will be voted on during their regular meeting later this week. Meanwhile, another development in Cantonment is getting a new lease on life as International Paper’s golf course is being revitalized.

After fraud was discovered, the Santa Rosa Clerk has tightened vendor payment methods to prevent any further incidents. The Pickleball at Port of Pensacola is moving forward with its plans under a new lease agreement that includes eight tournament-size outdoor courts and public access to the project.
